Way to Bomdila

 

Itinerary-07: Himalaya trek 10 Nights/11 days.

 

Day. 01. Guwahati – Tezpur(220km/4hrs drive). We will meeting point at Guwahati airport around 12:15hrs pick up and straight way drive to Tezpur a transfer to pre-booking hotel. Evening shopping and visit around tezpur is known as the city of blood as result of the great mythological war fought between Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva. Also oldest city in Assam state. O/n stay hotel.

Day. 02. Tezpur –Bomdila(160km/5hrs). From Tezpur we will drive to another town to Bomdila further up in the mountains. This drive is very fascinating as we will be passing and visiting various tribal villages which are predominantly inhabited by the Monpa tribe. We will get a very close view of their cultural and social life as well as be interact with them en route visit biggest orchid centre and oldest tribal village is known Dirang village, which are local jail. O/n Tourist lodge.

Day. 03. Bomdila-Munna camp 30km drive and trek start to Thembang village(6hrs trek) via Pangma village and Semnak village. o/n at thembang in home stay.

Day. 04. Thembang to Namshu(5/6hrs trek). Just a little ahead lies the village of Namshu(2100m). The  state of Chamba dominates the monastery.O/n home stay.

Day. 05. Namshu to Sangti(7hrs trek). via Khow Shing village. There are beautiful murals of Tsongkhapa ( founder of Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism). From the chorten, the trial climbs gently on  some stretches and very steeply at others. One passes through densely frosted mountain sides to the top, the trail descends on the other side  for about 2 hrs, to the small village of Khalebok (2,215m). From here you can see Sangit valley Village below.  Another tiring descent of about an hour brings you to Sangit ( 1625 m). At Sangit, cross the bridge to meet the Bomdila – Tawang Road.  

You may opt to stay in Sangit valley, which has a few eateries and a guest house or drive one hour to Dhirang, which has better accommodation. Hotel or Tourist Lodge are popular overnight places here O/n sangti village.

Day. 06. Sangti valley to Dirang(3hrs trek). This day we will visit around Dirang. We can visit Dirang village the village is oldest village in west kemeng district. O/n stay Dirang Tourist Lodge.

Day. 07. Dirang to Mukto(90km drive). Then watch out for a board announcing Mukto village at which you get off. Take the trail going left and walk for about3 km o reach Mukto. O/n home stay.

Day. 08. Mukto to Tawang(80km drive). Hike up on any side of the Sela pass to have fantastic views of the snow – clad mountains. The landscape here is barren and devoid of any  trees. It’s windy and cold on the pass. Enroute visit war memorial here at Jaswantgarh,dedicated to Jaswant  Singh , the solider  who single – handedly held of the approaching Chinese troops from the pass during the 1962 Indo – China War. There are some army  barracks herd, from where you can  free tea and samosas. The jawans believe that the ghost of the dead Jaswant Singh  visits them at night. They go to great lengths to prepare a bed, with food and water on it, to appease him. A crumpled bed in the morning bears testimony that the spirit did indeed occupy the dwelling. O/n hotel

Day. 09. Tawang to Bomdila(180km). This day early breakfast and drive back to Bomdila. Enroute visit world famouse Yak seeding Farm Centre cum Research Centre. O/n Tourist Lodge

Day. 10. Bomdila to Tezpur/Guwahati(160km/380km/ 5hrs/7hrs). Transfer to hotel. Evening free we can have sightseeing around the town. O/n stay.

Day. 11. Tezpur/Guwahati to Airport. After breakfast transfer to airport END OF SERVICE.

Price. (Negotiable). US dollar. Net per person (Twine sharing basis)

Cost including. Arrival and departure, We will provide 01 vehicle non a/c jeep, per jeep share by depend on you, Accommodation in standard, Break fast, Lunch, Dinner, (Restricted area permit for Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Part of Sikkim, Tripura), Entrance fee, English speaking guide and local escort.

Cost those not include. Camera fee, personal expanses, any kind of drink, phone call, laundry, Tips. Which are not mention above.

 

Note:

1.         Please send your document i.e. Xerox copy of passport & visa to be obtain permit processes for Arunachal Pradesh. Document should be reached 4 week in advance.

2.         This traveling circuit is do not have a star hotel. But there is basic standard accommodation only. Circuit house/Tourist Lodge which is run by Government / Small private party. Also this trip will have traveling in very remote and tribal village, facilities are poor service like a telephone, electricity, money changer, road maintained, and you must treat as Nature adventurous trip
